🌿 Content on the Shelf

I don’t need a post to prove myself,
I’d rather stay quiet, content on the shelf.
The world may shout of name and fame,
But peace resides beyond that game.

Let others chase their shining crown,
I find my worth when I sit down.
In silence, I hear my truest song,
No crowd decides where I belong.

For glory fades like evening light,
But calm within still burns so bright.
So don’t be worried and manipulate,
I sympathize with your wretched state.

And when the dust of pride shall fall,
You’ll find the shelf outshines it all.
