Stay away from greed

Indulgence and luxury will not pay
They'll momentarily make you gay
But fleeting joy soon fades to grey,
As virtue’s voice gets swept away.

The soul grows numb, the heart turns cold,
When truth is traded, bought, and sold.
No mansion built on vice will stand,
No god is pleased by bloodstained hands.

You laugh in silk, but starve in soul,
A slave to things you can't control.
So drink your wine, and feast like kings —
The Devil smiles at such small things.
